This simple taco filling requires only a few ingredients that you likely have on hand; kick up the heat with a little spice from fresh jalapeños, chile flakes, and a dash of cayenne pepper.

  • 1 pound ground Smart Chicken
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 4 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • ½ cup chicken stock
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • For Spicy Tacos:
  • 1 jalapeño, diced
  • 1 teaspoon chile flakes
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper

In a large skillet, heat oil over high heat. Add ground chicken and sear until browned and cooked through. Add garlic and onions (and jalapeño, chile flakes, and cayenne pepper if using) and cook for 5 minutes. Add taco seasoning and mix well. Add chicken stock and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.
