  • 2 slices of the bread of your choice (French, Italian, ciabatta, white, wheat, whole-grain, or artisan)
  • Fully cooked Smart Chicken sausage (such as Andouille or Sweet
  • Italian), halved or sliced
  • Sliced or shredded gruyere cheese
  • Caramelized onions
  • Dijon mustard

Preheat a panini maker, griddle, George Foreman grill, or grill pan and grill press to medium-high heat. Butter or oil the outside of 2 slices of the bread of your choice (French, Italian, ciabatta, white, wheat, whole-grain, or artisan). Layer with halved or sliced fully cooked Smart Chicken Sausage (such as Andouille or Sweet Italian) sliced or shredded gruyere cheese, caramelized onions, and Dijon mustard. Cook in press or griddle, or in a grill pan using a grill press (or heavy pan) to weigh down the sandwich until outside is golden, cheese is melted, and ingredients are warmed through.
