  • ¼ cup pine nuts, or substitute walnuts or almonds
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 cup fresh basil, packed
  • ½ cup fresh parsley
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ¾ cup Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tablespoons butter, at room temperature.

Roast pine nuts in 325°F oven for 10 minutes. In a blender or food processor, combine all ingredients, except cheese and butter, and blend to desired texture. Add cheese and butter and mix slightly.
