- ¼ cup pine nuts, or substitute walnuts or almonds
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 cup fresh basil, packed
- ½ cup fresh parsley
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup olive oil
- ¾ cup Parmesan cheese
- 3 tablespoons butter, at room temperature.
Roast pine nuts in 325°F oven for 10 minutes. In a blender or food processor, combine all ingredients, except cheese and butter, and blend to desired texture. Add cheese and butter and mix slightly.
