Dear Mark Haskins,

At last! Someone finally got it right. Last nite I had your ‘Smart Chicken’ for a meal and I haven’t tasted chicken that good for years. I’m 79 years old, was raised during the depression, eight children in the family, so my parents always raised their own food. Chickens, a pig for butchering in the fall, a cow or two for milk, butter etc. We had a small farm on the outskirts of Milwaukee. We also raised our own vegetables. My mother canned hundreds of quarts of everything, including our own chickens. Now I’m at the mercy of Super Markets. I always try to buy natural and organic. I’ve tried Amish chicken but nothing can compare to the flavor and plump meat of your chicken. Keep up the good work. I bought it at our local Piggly Wiggly and you can bet I will be putting in a good word and encouragement so they keep it in stock. Thank you and God bless your endeavors.

I purchased one of your whole chickens at a grocery store here in Peoria (Schnucks) yesterday. I had not seen this chicken being offerd previously. I took it home and cut it into the following portions: 2 leg-thighs, 2 wings, and one whole breast, all with the skin on. I froze everything except one leg-thigh. I decided to prepare this in the simplest way possible. I melted a small amount of butter in a small casserole dish. I coated the chicken on both sides, salted and peppered both sides and baked it in a 425 degree convection oven. It was absolutely delicious. This chicken was different in every way, from the moment I took it out of the package, it lookes and feels different. I'm thrilled to have found this wonderful product and hope my local grocery store will continue to carry it. Thank you so much for bringing this product to the marketplace!

My husband and I just tried one of your Smart Chickens. We were both raised on fresh home-grown chickens, and haven't had chicken this good in over 30 yrs. You just can't get good chicken to fry anymore! Thanks for doing such a wonderful job! If our grocer continues to carry your chicken, we will definitely pick them up often. It's good to know there is still "quality" meat out there!

I ran across your chicken at our local Target and was excited at what I read. I am now preparing it for dinner for my family so this will be the first taste test; I'll let you know what we think. Excellent web site, great animal and environmental stewartship. I worked for Canada's largest food processor and have been through their chicken plants and in looking at your process, it is heads and shoulders above that! Take care and thank you so much for caring!

SMART CHICKEN is the best thing to hit the grocery store in 20 years!! We have enjoyed it for quite some time, and have recently discovered SMART CHICKEN hot dogs & sausage. I'm from Chicago, ["we're all about the food!"] and the Italian sausage is incredibly delicious--yet lower in calories & fat than "real" Italian sausage. We eat the SMART CHICKEN hot dogs for lunch a couple of times a week. Worst problem? BYERLY'S FOODS in Bloomington MN is always sold out; the Edina store is also out. CUB FOODS in Bloomington MN either doesnt carry all flavors of sausage or is out. Help!! We LOVE your chicken & sausage products, but need new places to find them--incredible, and thank you!! We are SMART CHICKEN ambassadors wherever we go; my partner even got a SMART CHICKEN hat...I'm jealous!! Thanks again

As one might expect, living in Mississippi limits one's access to an abundance of organic foods. Thankfully, Brookshire's Grocery carries the Organic Smart Chicken line. This wonderful product is the mainstay of my family's "meat" portion of our diet. I have used every "cut" available. The whole chickens roast beautifully.... Julia Child would be so proud. The boneless, skinless breasts are pounded into faux "veal piccata" with no one the wiser, and the thighs and legs (drumsticks here in the South) are the base for all my soups and stews. The freshness and sweetness of the chicken is incomparable. On the first occasion of serving Smart Chicken, I presented a beautifully roasted, whole bird to my family. My husband immediately wanted to know "what I had done differently" in the preparation of this magnificent meal... new herbs, spices? It was "the best chicken I've ever tasted"... he said. I revealed the source of this delicious delicacy and he was hooked. It absolutely did not matter that it was a few pennies more than the average poultry available. We were hooked for life. I work in a "health food/supplement" store and have spread the word and sung the praises of Smart Chicken to all store customers, hoping they, too, will enjoy the taste and reap the health benefits of this superior product.... chicken the way God intended it to taste and BE... bringing health, nourishment and good taste to those who try it!!!! THANK YOU SMART CHICKEN !!!!!!

The Italian Sausage is great – just enough peppers and seasoning and no gristle in the smooth grind. Just hot enough so you could enjoy more than one.

Being diabetic, I was glad to see on your label only 1 G of sugar.

I appreciated there were only 5 in the pack. Many people live alone and most manufacturers only package family style. They are missing a big market. I know that frozen leftovers never taste the same.

Just placed them on a metal pan in a preheated 375 degree oven for 15 minutes after piercing. No fat formed and the casing didn’t get tough.

Thank you for a delicious quick cook product. I live in a small efficiency apartment and do not grill out.

I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciate having your Smart Chicken available here, the culinary backwater of the USA, which is Bismarck, North Dakota, a.k.a. beef country. Only today, I cooked some for an old-style recipe of Chicken Tetrazzini and learned that its’ exceptional flavor can be boosted even further by letting the chicken cool in the broth. Sure, it took forever, but as an aficionado of slow food, it was worth the wait! It is heartening to know there are still chicken producers like you who care about quality. Keep up the good work!

A couple of months ago you sent me some coupons – even with a limited budget – I wanted others to try your excellent chicken.

My nephew grills out in all weather – they eat a lot of chicken – yet I always think it is dry and over-marinated. So he used your coupon for chicken breast, I had him just brush with oil – so he could taste the chicken. His family was so surprised – guess what! They are now buying Smart Chicken.

My best friend used her coupon for a whole chicken – she stuffed with my apple/raising stuffing. Her family raved and wanted to know if someone else had cooked the chicken! She is now buying Smart Chicken!

So thank you – Blessings for an excellent product.
